With The Blood of Dawnwalker launching on September 3, the steady stream of pre-release information is finally crystallizing into hard gameplay facts. Rebel Wolves has just published the complete list of Steam achievements that will be available on day one, and for those of us obsessed with min-maxing and route planning, this update is a goldmine.

The developer dropped the details in a recent Steam News post, confirming that players will have exactly 46 achievements to hunt down. Out of these, 25 are visible from the start, while the remaining 21 are hidden to protect major story spoilers. But it is the visible achievements that give us the most concrete look yet at how character progression, exploration, and the highly anticipated combat system will actually function in practice.

Here is an analytical breakdown of what the newly revealed achievements mean for your first playthrough in Vale Sangora.

The Glass Ceiling: Hitting Level 50

One of the most significant pieces of information buried in the list is the achievement simply titled Glass Ceiling, which requires players to reach Level 50.

For a narrative-heavy RPG, a level cap of 50 suggests a substantial power curve. We already know that the builds and skill trees in the game are divided primarily into Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampiric Abilities. Hitting level 50 likely means you will have enough skill points to acquire an Ultimate Perk in at least one, maybe two trees, but almost certainly not all three.

This is corroborated by the Mastery achievement (awarded for leveling up one specific tree to its full potential) alongside dedicated trophies for unlocking the ultimate perks, such as Master of Arms for Swordmastery and Arch Warlock for Witchcraft. The community is already heavily debating the prerequisites for these trees. Some players report concerns that investing heavily into basic survival stats like Vitality within the Swordsman tree might bottleneck their ability to reach the higher-tier Hex magic required to play a pure spellcaster.

If the level 50 cap is a hard limit rather than a soft cap before diminishing returns, you will need to plan your character carefully. Spreading your points too thin across all three disciplines might leave you without access to the explosive ultimate abilities needed for the late-game encounters.

Synergistic Combat and Executions

Rebel Wolves has repeatedly claimed that their combat design is deeply tactical, and the achievement list proves they expect players to engage with overlapping systems rather than just mashing the light attack button.

Take the Better Safe than Sorry achievement as a prime example. To unlock it, you must “behead an enemy with Artery Strike while they’re also hexed with Burning Blood.” This single description tells us several crucial things about how combat and hex magic flow together. First, specific physical attacks (Artery Strike) have execution properties (beheading). Second, these physical strikes can synergize directly with status effects applied by Witchcraft (Burning Blood). It strongly implies a combat loop where you prime targets with magical debuffs before cashing in the damage with precise melee executions.

Furthermore, the Untouchable achievement demands five Perfect Blocks in a row. This confirms that the parry window is a core pillar of defense against aggressive enemy patterns, demanding a rhythmic, almost musical mastery of enemy attack timings.

Another interesting detail is the Absolutely Insatiable achievement, which requires having three Passive Abilities equipped at the same time. This suggests that passives aren’t just universally applied once purchased; they must be actively slotted into a limited number of loadout spaces. Your build is not just what you unlock, but what you choose to equip before a major encounter.

Exploration: Towers, Transports, and Brencis’s Flags

How open is the open world? The achievements paint a picture of a map that is dense with dynamic activities rather than just static points of interest.

Bird’s-Eye View requires you to climb all the towers and scout the surrounding areas. While the mention of “towers” might trigger some open-world fatigue for veterans of the genre, Rebel Wolves’ track record suggests these will likely be tied to environmental puzzles or heavily guarded strongholds rather than simple map-revealing chores.

Speaking of the map, you will be rewarded for thoroughly exploring the Vale Sangora world. The Big-City Living achievement triggers upon visiting the City of Svartrau, expected to be the main urban hub filled with political intrigue and merchant vendors. Additionally, Tour Guide Training asks players to visit all of the villages scattered across the region.

The open-world design also features dynamic faction interference. The Delivery Delay achievement tasks you with destroying eight Vrakhiri transports. Reportedly, these transport convoys will move across the map in real-time, allowing you to ambush them for resources and gear.

Moreover, you can engage directly with the local authority through vandalism. The Capture the Flag achievement involves tearing down all of Brencis’s flags. Given what we know about the tense relationships between the protagonist and the vampire officers, acts of rebellion like this will almost certainly tie into the Infamy system. Pushing your Infamy to its peak will earn you the Throne of Thorns achievement, likely alienating certain factions while drawing the respect of underground criminal elements.

Prepare for Multiple Playthroughs

Perhaps the most important takeaway for trophy hunters and completionists is a recent clarification from the development team: you cannot get all achievements in a single run.

According to community managers on the Trophies subreddit, the game leans incredibly hard into choices and consequences. Because certain decisions lock off alternative narrative branches, specific faction alignments, and exclusive boss encounters, earning a 100% completion rate will mandate multiple playthroughs.

This aligns perfectly with the studio’s philosophy of creating a reactive narrative sandbox. Saving a particular village from a vampire coven might grant you an achievement, but allowing the coven to establish a stronghold could unlock a completely different questline and its own respective trophy. If you are the type of player who relies on manual save-scumming to see every outcome in one sitting, The Blood of Dawnwalker might force you to break that habit. The consequences of your actions are reportedly baked deep into the world state, meaning a decision made in the opening hours will ripple outward, locking or unlocking achievements dozens of hours down the line.

What This Means for Launch

As we approach the September 3 release, this achievement list serves as a fantastic syllabus for what the game expects from us. It is clear that Rebel Wolves wants players to experiment with specific skill combinations, explore every murky corner of Svartrau, and commit fully to their moral (or immoral) decisions.

Whether you plan to rush to level 50 as a pure swordsman focused on perfect blocks, or manipulate the battlefield from afar with volatile hexes, the progression systems appear robust enough to support highly specialized playstyles.

We will be testing these synergies extensively at launch. Keep an eye on our builds section, as we will be mapping out the most efficient routes to acquire those Ultimate Perks as soon as the servers go live.
